Bea participated in a project known as Phonic Bloom for the Woodland Community Library with interpreting a data sculpture created by Super Fab.

Bea was in charge of conceptualizing and creating the illustrations of the mascot for Phonic Bloom as well as the iconography that was utilized within the project scope.

Bea The Bee

Bea the Bee is a bee that lives in the garden created by the team over at Super Fab that would lead children through the AR expereince. Her key concepts was that she was to relate to the children with her round appearance and expressive body langauge for easy communication differnent emotions.

Iconography

Four icons were made for the website to showcase the project process in four words: Inspiration, Fabrication, Interpretation, and Implementation.

Concept of the Bee

The Bee was to be a guide for children to explore the Super Fab data sculpture utilizing the app. Bea wanted the bee to be expressive in not only with sound but also with body lanaguge to help convey emotions easier. The bee's antennas would be one of the distinct indicators for expressing emotions in a way that can be recognizeable to children.

Icons consistant of a flower, iphone with a flower inside, a lightbulb with a plant stem as the inner workings, an interpretation of a soundwave, and a marker for the experience.

Icons were primarily based around the flowers of the Super Fab data sculpture.
